  Biography

Leah Marie Francis started working in womenswear sales at 15 years old at a local mall. A Creative Director that utilizes a strong target market driven approach Ms. Francis has designed advertisements, directed photo shoots and graphic design projects. In addition, she is a Fashion and Lifestyle Writer who has been published in several magazines including Runway News and Honey Magazine.

Francis started styling for a few clients as a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She landed an opportunity in the fashion closet at WWD after interning at Manhattan/Hampton File and Honey Magazine in the editorial department. When she asked an editor at Fairchild Media for some advice on choosing between styling and writing they responded, “ Why not do both?” Yes, why not.

Francis has styled models from Ford, Supreme, Wilhelmina, and several small boutique agencies helping to promote them. After WWD she went on to assist the legendary Celebrity Fashion Stylist Debra Ginyard who has styled Destiny’s Child, Alicia Keys, and Lauren Hill. Recently she has expanded into the lifestyle industry producing marketing communications for a real estate brokerage in addition to a law firm.

Francis attended the Long Island University Program for the Gifted and The Fashion Institute of Technology’s Center for Continuing and Professional Studies. She holds a baccalaureate in Language and Literature from SUNY at Old Westbury and a Master of Professional Studies in Fashion Marketing from LIM College. She has mentored several SUNY students who have attended the nation's top graduate schools. She resides in the New York metropolitan area.
